Dear Reception Parents,
We are thrilled to share that tomorrow marks an exciting milestone for our Reception children – their very first PE lesson! To make the most of this special day, we warmly encourage all children to come to school dressed in their PE kits.
Please rest assured that every child will be able to participate, even if they arrive in their school uniform, as long as they are wearing appropriate footwear. We want to make sure everyone can join in the fun and enjoy the activities safely.
With the cooler, wetter weather upon us, we kindly ask that you consider having your child wear trousers and layers to keep them warm and comfortable during outdoor activities. This will help ensure they can fully enjoy their PE session, rain or shine!
Reception PE Kit:

T-shirt: A plain or school-branded t-shirt, ideally short-sleeved.

Shorts or joggers: Depending on the weather. Trousers/joggers are recommended for colder days.

Footwear: Comfortable, secure trainers (we suggest no laces as they can come undone easily for younger children). Socks should be worn.

Optional: School sweatshirt or jumper for outdoor PE in cooler weather.

Hair & accessories: Long hair tied back and no jewelry to ensure safety during activity.
Tips:

Label all items with your child’s name.

Avoid loose clothing that could cause trips or get caught during activities.

A lightweight jacket can be useful for outdoor lessons in colder or wet weather.
