(A1 W2) FIRST WHOLE WEEK

Hello Reception Families,

It's been such a busy week in Reception and we are so proud of all the children! Everyday the children are growing in confidence, settling into routines and making the most of being at school!

Monday was a busy day! 

We started with lots of ‘getting to know me’ games such as finding your pair using socks! 

Next we had a thrilling BMX bike show on the playground! 

In the afternoon we had the lovely Yr4 Buddies come and read us some stories! 

Later in the week we started our Magic Maths lessons focusing on numbers 1-3 (but not limiting children to 1-3). We have spent lots of time using the classroom resources and becoming familiar with a range of different numerical representations!

The children also had a great time in our first DT junk modelling lesson where we explored the huge range of resources we have available and looked at different methods of joining materials! 

And finally, of course we did lots of exploring, making new friends and fun! 

Next Week:

Monday: School Photos! Please ensure children are wearing school uniforms! Please be assured we will make sure everyone has nice clean faces etc for this important first school photo.

Tuesday: Photo of the Reception Class for the Dorset Echo!
