Hi Reception Families,
I trust that you all have had a wonderful Winter Holidays?
I am very much looking forward to seeing all the children tomorrow!
This half term we will be learning all about Terrific Tales, starting with the Gingerbread Man this week, in Maths we will be focussing on numbers to 8.
The children will be moving into new groups for RWI, children's groups are based on assessments completed at the end of term and each child has been carefully matched with the best group for their current development.
The next Parent Information Session is coming up, we will have a focus on RWI, fine motor development and what the children will be learning about this term. Details of date and time of the session to follow.
This Term we will be having PE on a Friday afternoon, Coach Luca will be taking the class for Basketball which is really exciting! Children should continue to come into school dressed in their PE kits on a Friday. The session will be held outside, so please ensure that children are dressed appropriately, I would recommend children wear trainers or pumps instead of school shoes.
We will also be welcoming Mrs Johnson back to the Prince of Wales in her new role as Senior TA we are really looking forward to having her with us.
