Reception - 3rd June 2019..........dig, dig, dig!

Yippee, you all brought the sun with you today..........and lots of happy, excited, enthusiastic, wonderful children!!!!!!!

I am not going to tell you our topic because the children were all so enthusiastic about their learning that I am sure they can tell you!!!!!! Our wow word today was Paleontologist and we even learned about sedimentary rock!!!!!!!! That's all I'm saying...........

We have a fun packed final half term with lots of exciting learning opportunities. The progress the class are making is superb and we are proud of all of them!

Forest Schools will return this week with 3 weeks of Owl, Eeyore and Rabbit group before change over. Do check the weather on the day - if it is hot the children still need to have their arms and legs covered, so leggings/lightweight trousers and a long sleeved t-shirt will be perfect - as well as a sun hat!

As you may have noticed, our morning routine is slightly different, the reason for this is so that we can spend less time tidying away before our main learning. As a part of encouraging independence, we would now really appreciate your support in asking your child to put their own bags etc away and coming to the carpet, you can even leave them with us at the door if they are confident! Of course, we will always still be there to talk and also if you feel your child still needs you to come in.

I have had some amazing home learning so far and even some post cards!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for your continued support.

Mrs. J and the #amazingreceptionteam
