Reception - New year, New Beginnings

Image result for happy new year

Hello everyone,

Firstly, happy new year! I hope you all had a fantastic break and I look forward to hearing all the things you have been up to as well as some of the things that Father Christmas may have bought down the chimney!
As the new year begins, there will be a few changes to what happens during the day over the next couple of weeks - all the information will be shared with you as we introduce things. Of course, we are always available to answer questions or discuss things with you. One of the things that will be starting this week, and you may have heard of, is 'The Daily Mile'. The aim of the Daily Mile is to improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of children – regardless of age, ability or personal circumstances. The daily mile is simple. we will have 20 minutes set aside in our day where we will go around a course in the school grounds. It will be stressed that this is NOT a race. There is no need to bring anything in to school for this. We will keep you updated with this as we develop it through the rest of the year.
There is a newsletter coming home on Wednesday about lots of other information. There is also a parent information session on Monday 8th January in the school hall. It would be lovely to see as many of you there as possible!
