Just remembered that I hadn't put the sounds up from last week. We will be moving on to two letter sounds from next week. This is where it can become more tricky and take longer for children to recognise each sound.
'j' - as in jam - Pretend
to wobble on a plate and say j, j, j.
'v' - as in van - Pretend
to be holding the steering wheel of a van and say vvvvvv.
'w' - as in wind - Blow on to open hand, as if you are the
wind, and say wh,
wh,
wh.
'x' - as in box - pretend to take a photo of someone, clicking down and saying ks, ks, ks.
We are in the process of giving all the children new sounds in their sound pots so please make sure they are in their book bags this week.
