Busy, busy, busy time!

 Hello Reception Families

Once again, the week has flown by and we have been practicing our learning in lots of different ways.

On Tuesday we tested our gross and fine motor skills by completing the bikeathon. The children loved racing down the corridor and through the hall.

We have been working hard on learning to read and write teen numbers this week. The children enjoyed having a go at this independently in busy time.

We visited the Forest School area and made homes for the 'little people' who have run away from a dragon and needed a shelter. We talked about the shelter being waterproof and camouflage.

When it rained the boys got busy sweeping the rain water up. This is a great exercise for gross motor control and building shoulder strength (which helps with writing).

A beautiful ammonite was created by Arthur who really persevered at completing it.

Great team work has been shown this week, especially in the building area, with some great problem solving included too. These skills make up our characteristics of effective learning.

Well done Reception class on another fantastic week of learning.
