Hello Reception families
We had a great afternoon spent splashing, squirting and having fun!
The children loved it!
The children have had a wonderful year in Reception and we can't wait to welcome them back in September to their new Year One class to do it all again!

What an absolute scorcher it was today! There was only 1 thing for it . . . . . .!!!!

Just a reminder that we are having a splash day on Wednesday so swimwear and towels will be needed. We will also be having some water fun tomorrow too. If your child has a water toy they would like to bring in then they would be most welcome. We have planned a sneaky treat of an ice pole for the afternoon, as well as a water trail under the awning to keep us all cool.
We look forward to welcoming you all back for our final week together.

Hello Reception Families
We have had a wonderful day down at Charmouth, hunting for fossils. We spent part of the day on the beach looking for treasure and then we visited the Charmouth Heritage Centre to learn a bit more about fossils. Mr Spracklen made a surprise visit and just as he arrived we started to find fossils (it was a very big coincidence!).
We were able to dip our feet into the water to cool down and we were lucky enough to have an ice-cream too. The children and adults had a wonderful day and there were lots of tired children on the way home - a few just couldn't keep their eyes open!

A few reminders as we enter our final week at school:
Please could all books be returned to school - library and RWI books please. The library run a Summer Reading Challenge over the summer where you can continue to share books with your child.
Our school trip is tomorrow. Please make sure your child has a sun hat, sun cream and water with them. We plan to spend the cooler part of the morning on the beach and then visit the centre as the day warms up.
Can you help?
We would like to have a water day on Wednesday next week. Do you have a paddling pool(s) we could borrow?
On this day children should bring in swimwear, a towel and a change of clothes for lots of water fun! Make sure child has lots of suncream on too!
