Well, what an afternoon we had on our first day back at school! Mrs Rogers shot into the classroom to say something had appeared in the grass outside! We were all very keen to investigate what it could be! When we got outside we found a nest with a giant egg in it! The children loved guessing what on earth could be inside and we are waiting expectantly to see what happens next. We carefully carried it into the classroom and the children even found some blankets to wrap it in to keep it warm. There was lots of lovely talk about what it could be and how we should look after it. Some children were able to use their prior knowledge of eggs and chickens to guess what might happen next and how we should look after it.
What a fabulous start to our Summer term.
