This week...

Hello everyone,

As we approach the end of the first half of the summer term we are going to be finishing up our seaside topic! Our art job this week is to decorate a pebble each that will be placed outside the classroom with a nice welcome sign. Hopefully you'll be able to see this when we come back from half-term.
In our literacy job this week we are going to be continuing with our seaside scrapbooks that we started last week. The children have all written a short summary of our beach trip as well as a senses poem. We'll be finishing our scrapbook by adding our favourite part about the beach. Lots of fantastic writing happening at the moment which we are all very proud of!
In maths this week we are having a bit of a Numicon week. We will be doing some one more and one less with written sums as well as adding and subtracting some single digit numbers. We will also begin to teach children the relationship between addition and subtraction by looking at inverse sums. Sound very complicated!

Finally, if there is any other children that would like to take part in another 'Ditch Your Stabilisers' session please come and see us as there will hopefully be another session after half-term if there is sufficient interest.
