Hello all,
Firstly, it has been fantastic to see so many children bringing in writing that they are doing at home. Thank you very much for your support in this crucial area of development. Even as we near Christmas, we would like to continue to highlight to children writing's importance. 2 children were given the writer of the week rosettes today! Well done Jack and Matilda! We will have another boy and girl winner next week.
Some ideas to possibly follow up at home on a Christmassy theme:
- To write some Christmas present labels.
- To make and then write a Christmas card for someone in the class.
- To write your Christmas list (if you haven't already done so!)
- Write some words that remind you of Christmas or winter.
- Write a poem about Christmas/winter
As always, if children just want to practice letters and sounds that they have been learning, this is fine! The same goes for name writing.
