Reception Key information for the next few days.

 Welcome back to the Summer Term!

You even brought the sunshine with you........!

We hope you all had a restful and wonderful Easter Holiday?

A reminder that THIS Friday is our Class Assembly - 9:15 am in the school hall. In order to alleviate many anxieties that some of our children have about performing, we have decided to invite you to a Cinema experience where we will be premiering our movie"Reception Visits London". We hope you can join us!

Next Monday, 9:10 in the school hall, is our Summer Term Parent Information Session. I will be sharing our learning for the Term and upcoming events.........Mrs. March willnintroduce herself and briefly outline transition to Year 1.

Reception Class Team

Reception celebrating the end of their second term with a Royal Banquet!

It was an honour to host a Royal Banquet at PoW. Each King, Queen, Prince, Princess and knight were formally introduced to the ball.

The Royal party enjoyed their feast immensely and we thank the royal chefs for their excuisite  bakes!

Now Press Play took us on an adventure with Queen Elizabeth the 1st. We experienced first hand what it would have been like to live in Elizabethan England. Super drama! 

We cannot believe that we are at the end of our second term already! The children are flourishing and growing from strength to strength.

Next term, as part of the transition process into year 1, Mrs. March our new Deputy Head and Year 1 Teacher will be joining us and teaching in Reception for 2 days a week.

Mrs. Smith will be carrying out RWIUnc assessments during the first week back and we will also be holding our Reception class assembly on the first Friday back.

We wish you all a restful, fun, family filled break.

Thank you all for the kind words you have communicated to me regarding the staff team and the incredible teaching and learning that has taken place so far this year! We have many exciting adventures planned for Summer Term - watch this space.

FYI - we will be having Mr. Treble leading PE with us next term as Coach Luca will be teaching basket ball to a different year group - we would like to thank Coach Luca for inspiring our class and for teaching them valuable skills! On a PE day next term, we would ask that children come to school wearing comfortable clothes for PE - tracksuit bottoms, leggings or PE shorts, PE t-shirt and school jumper + comfortable trainers!

I will communicate the days they will need to wear these clothes to school in due course.

We had a 2 day old visitor today, Arthur took him to meet each class.

The children have all been incredible these last 2 weeks, coping with all the changes of adults due to sickness! We couldn't be more proud of you all! I would also like to say a huge "Thank you" to the outstanding staff members who have supported their colleagues and the children with their learning over the last 2 weeks too! We are so lucky to have such an awesome, professional, experienced and nurturing team of staff at PoW!
