Clubs this term...

Clubs have begun really well this term; the children are attending lots of fun clubs either held in lunchtimes or after school.

Dance club is popular as ever, Choir is also very strong this term; Mrs Gallego was stunned by the amazing sound she heard last week!  The beginner Recorder club has also begun now, with some very keen and eager children who are already moving on well with their learning!

If your child has recorder lessons or Ukele lessons with Lucy then please ensure your payments per lesson (£1 per week) are handed into the school office asap.

If your child would like to join any of the above then please see me or the school office and we’ll put you in touch with the adult running the club, the more the merrier!

Kingston Maurward

WOW!
What a fantastic trip.
The weather was great for our morning out, we had a lovely time.

The children were able to feed the chickens, give them water and search for eggs!!
The Alpaca's enjoyed the food the children gave them, holding their hands flat they watched with delight as they ate from their hands.

It was very very muddy at Kingston Maurward so we apologise for the muddy clothes, but as you can imagine this added to the excitement of the day, slipping and sliding in the mud!!

Thank you very much to the Parent, and Grandparent helpers.

Please look out for the photograph's in the classroom

Reminder

A quick reminder about books...

Please change your child's reading books as many times as you wish. We suggest 2 or 3 books at a time. If you feel your child needs a challenge, please feel free to discuss this with Mrs Birbeck.

The 'Library' book your child has in their book bag is only to be changed at school with
Mrs Howell or Mrs Collis
 Thank you

Show and Tell

Each week, as often as we can, we show the home learning the children have brought in from home. Please keep writing, maths, models etc coming in. It's so lovely to see and the children really build in confidence showing the rest of the class.

Fair Trade

On Friday last week the children really enjoyed a talk on Fair Trade. All the children were given a 'Fair Trade' piece of food and we had a really good discussion on where in the world the food originated from. We then shared some nectarines and banana.

One World One Country Week....

This week the children are learning about Gambia. We have been doing some exciting art work such as painting on canvas and painting self portraits which are really good. More to follow on this! Look out for the pictures of the children's fantastic art work.
