The seaside!

Hello everyone,

This week is a bit of a special week as we have two rather different activities. Firstly, we have a slot in the life-education van that you may have seen in the school playground. The slot is going to be 'all about me' and hopefully the children will all be able to tell you something that they have learnt. The other special activity we have this week is a trip to Weymouth! We're going to be heading to the beach for the morning (Wednesday 14th), so we're all hoping for good weather! If we do have to cancel the trip, we will attempt to give you as much notice as we can.If there are any parent helpers that are available for the morning, please come and see us! 

Alongside this, we will be doing all of the usual things in school! In literacy this week we're going to be making our own postcards, the plan is for the picture to be taken at the beach. These will form part of our display on the seaside that will be going up outside the reception classroom, in the ICT suite. In numeracy this week, each group has a slightly different job. We're going to continue looking at weight, as well as taking a dive into capacity. We're also going to be testing children on their shape knowledge.
