Safari, staircasing and floating

 Hi Reception Families.

I am going to start with some very important information.

We need to change our PE day to a THURSDAY, unfortunately we have a few timetable clashes and to ensure that we get our slot each week we need to change the day.

WORLD BOOK DAY

On Thursday we will be celebrating World Book Day  please see this letter for details World Book Day

During the week at 3:15 we will have a mystery reader each day, thank you to those parents who have booked a slot to read.

On Thursday Morning, please do come in with your child between 8:45-9:00 and share a book with them.

On Thursday evening from 5-6pm children are welcome to come back to school in their PJs to have some stories read to them.

This week has been a great week, all the children have been working so  hard in English, we can't wait to share our stories with you next week!

In Understanding the World we have been learning about the Savannahs in Africa and the animals that live there.

In DT and Understanding the Natural World we have been scientists, we conducted investigations to see if different objects floated.

In maths we have continued developing our awareness of staircasing, whilst practising our counting to 20!

In PE we explored balancing and climbing, whilst having a fantastic time pretending to be jungle animals.

Turning our Attention to Next Week:

English: I will not ever never eat a tomato

Maths: Composition 5 and 2 makes seven

Understanding the World: Life Cycle of a Butterfly

DT: Structures

If there is anything we can help with please do get in touch

Ms Evans and the Reception Team.
