Remember Remember the 5th of November

 Hi Reception Families,

We have been so impressed at how settled the children have been during their first week back.

In Drawing Club this week we were focussing on the 'spooky' story A Dark Dark Tale. I wonder if the children can tell you what was in the box?

This week we have been learning all about Guy Fawkes and the traditions and celebrations of Bonfire Night. The children enjoyed speaking about their experiences of fireworks and loved watching some firework displays.

In SCARF this week we have been reflecting on the things that make us unique and the things that we all share.

We also had a fantastic time on Thursday, planning and conducting a science experiment, making and launching a firework!

Thank you for returning your completed reading records; reading records should be returned every Friday, you should write down any books you have shared with your child during the week.

Turning our attention to next week:

Drawing Club: The Three Little Pigs

Maths: Amounts to five

Understanding the World: Diwali

Don't forget our Exhibition of Learning

Friday 10th November 2:30 in the hall, we will be celebrating Diwali together.

Please do get in touch if we can help in anyway.

Ms Evans and the Reception Team.
