Reception are inspired to learn!

 Hello Reception Families 

We had such a busy week last week. The arrival of a very large egg and then lots of inspired to learn play during the week. The highlights were:

Counting candles on a cake in the playdough and working out if the number was odd or even.

Building an assault course and checking it was fair.

Making and reading words

Splatting sounds!

Doubling numbers

Sharing counters equally and checking if the number is odd or even

We had a very busy week as always!

PE this week:

This week we will have PE with Mr Treble on TUESDAY and THURSDAY. Please remember sun hats and sun cream as we will be outside for these sessions.

RWI assessments:

Staff are completing Read Write Inc assessments this week, so children may be moving to a new colour band on Monday next week. Reading books are changed on a Friday so please make sure Book Bag Books are returned on this day and if you happen to have a pile at home we would welcome their return!

We have another busy and inspired to learn week planned. We are well underway with our dragon theme and the children are really enjoying it. In maths we have begun some learning around 2D shapes and their properties. Do look out for shapes when you are out and about this week.
