Happy New Year to you all!
Firstly, thank you for all your kind Christmas gifts, wishes and support. We hope you had a peaceful holiday.
The children have all returned bubbly, pleased to be back and excited to learn! We have had a fabulous first week and are really excited to introduce our new topic next week.
We will be spending this half term with a humanities focus based around "our world" - exploring the concept of village, town, city, country, continent with relation to our local area, London, Europe and Further away. As you can imagine there will be so many opportunities for the children to be inspired from, landmarks, transport, language, stories, role play, cooking................and wherever their interests and curiosity takes them.Today, children will come home with 2 new library books and the Power Maths B book. Please contact me if there are any questions about the Power Maths. The first 2 weeks are focussing on numbers 6-10.Next week Mrs. Smith will be carrying out RWInc assessments in Reception and then both Mrs. Smith and I will arrange individual 10 minute feedback meetings with each of you via zoom.
Further homelearning will be available next week with relation to our topic, but feel free to launch sooner if you are inspired.
Have a great week-end.
Mrs. J, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Cleaver
