Ribbit............Ribbit..........Ribbit.........Reception!

This week our learning has been and will continue to be based around The Frog Prince..........what a rude princess she is AND she broke her promise!!!!!!!!!!! This is terrible behaviour, we must write a sorry letter to the Frog, he was so kind to her and all he wanted was to share a meal with her and sleep on her pillow!!!!!!!!!!! We should also never judge a book by it's cover!!!!!!!!!

We will definitely be investigating all about the life cycle of a frog!
There has been some fantastic design and technology so far this week, making working wells!
Our maths learning will be investigating lengths of jumps, time it takes to jump around a course, sharing flies out fairly between frogs (pretend flies......), designing and making ponds with partners with specific items in (based around language of comparison), playdough and painted frog spawn, speckled frogs - counting..................we will also be exploring the concept of part, part whole.

Please do share the story at home.

Tomorrow for forest schools it is the turn of Owl, Winnie and Rabbit group.

Thank you for coming to share our story on Monday! If any of you would like to read to the class, that would be lovely and very special!

Next week we will be basing our learning around the Oscar Wilde Story - The Selfish Giant. This will lead into beginning to plant in our outdoor area, new planters - if anyone has any seeds they can offer or gardening expertise, or even would like to come in and do some gardening with the children, pop in and see us!!!!! I plan for our summer term to be based around nature, indoor and outdoor plants, bugs, wildlife.................

See you all tomorrow.....................ribbit!!!!!!!!
