Reception - End of term bits and bobs

Image result for bits and bobs

Hello everyone,

It was lovely to see so many of you for the open afternoon today! We hope you had a chance to go up to your child's next classroom and meet one their new teachers and ask any questions that you might have had. If you have any further questions, please let us know so we can help answer them or pass them along to the year 1 team.
As the end of term is fast approaching I have put a list of a few things that we need your help with as well as outlining some of the things we will be doing this week!

  • Sound pots and tricky word fans - please can these come back in to school. Leaving them in book bags will be fine!
  • Library books - Please return these to the library if you have taken any out.
  • Group reading books - Please put these in to book bags and we will collect them through the week.
  • Report slips - If you haven't already done so, please can you return your report slip card.
For the remainder of the week we will be continuing to explore the different connections that we have in our class! Today we have been to Brazil and found out about Samba music as well as trying some lovely cheesy snacks! There are a couple of countries left to visit before we finish celebrating the vast range of backgrounds we have in our class.
We will start sending some things home for you to keep from Wednesday onwards. This will include art work, PE kits, any other work as well as some little surprises that we have lined up!

We will also place in to your child's book bag a list of possible activities you could do over the summer to aid with the transition to year 1. Please don't feel obligated to complete all of these! They are just suggestions for a rainy day!

Sorry for the tonne of information! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! We are all going to be sad to see the last day come and go but know that the next adventure awaits at the beginning of September!
