Hi all,
Reception went on their first trip to Maiden Castle Farm today. Thank you all for sending children in with their wellies - it was quite muddy. They did very well to walk up there and back. We found out how a farm works at Harvest time; gathering crops and preparing for the winter months. See if your child can remember the two types of seed we were shown! Hint: one is used to make cereal and the other a juice drink! We got to see sheep being herded in as well as the cows in their sheds. We will put some pictures up on the whiteboard tomorrow for you to see.
Final reminder that tomorrow morning is the Harvest assembly. You are more than welcome to head straight through in to the hall after drop to grab a seat. Then, in the afternoon, there will be the Harvest cafe from 2.30-3.30pm. You are invited to come in to school from 2.30pm to collect your child and head in to the hall to buy cake and tea/coffee.
