Hello everyone,
I hope you are all enjoying the extra day off! When we come back tomorrow we will begin concluding our Mr. Men topic. We had a super party on Friday where the children got to play games and, of course, eat! Thank you for coming in to help us with the eating.
This week we will be carrying on making our Mr. Men magnets. The children have all started by molding their shape using clay. Now they are dry we can begin to paint them and then add the magnet. These should hopefully be coming home soon for you to pin onto the fridge.
We'll also be carrying on our story making this week with 'The Enormous Turnip'. We have begun to change certain bits of the story so see if you can come up with some new characters or a new vegetable etc.
This week in numeracy we are covering all sorts! We are going to be counting up to 20 in order - any help with this at home would be great - as well as adding and subtracting single digit numbers using objects. Some children had a go at solving word problems last week involving addition and subtraction, and they were great at this!
We'll also be continuing our sports morning preparations. The children will be working in teams to cover lots of different skills including team work!
