RAWRRR!!

Hello all,

Today we have begun our longest topic for this half-term - Dinosaurs. Needless to say, all the children were really excited by this and we had some fantastic speaking and ideas from children this morning! They have helped to come up with some questions they would like to know the answers to, and we'll add these to our topic.
Throughout the rest of this week we will be looking at writing some speech bubbles that could be placed in a 'Harry and the Bucketful of dinosaurs' book - we're trying very hard to get children to read their own writing back to themselves once they have written a sentence and pick up on any mistakes from this. In maths we've started to write numerals down when solving various problems i.e. how many steps does it take to get to the whiteboard.
We have also begun to add to our garden! Some children planted the first early potatoes last week - if there are any parents that would be happy and willing to come in and help with the gardening, please come and see us! This week we'll be putting in some more potatoes and preparing beds/weeding etc ready for the net batch of vegetables/plants.
