Hello Reception Parents and Carers!
We’re thrilled to share that our Reception trip to Swanage yesterday was a fantastic success! As part of our Jurassic Coast topic, the children had the opportunity to explore the beautiful seaside town and experience some of the natural wonders we've been learning about in class.
Our day began with a scenic walk along the seafront, taking in the sights and sounds of the coast. The children were full of excitement as we made our way to Swanage Pier, where they enjoyed spotting boats bobbing on the water.
We then headed to the lovely Prince Albert Gardens for a well-earned lunch. It was a perfect spot to rest, recharge, and enjoy the stunning views while sharing a picnic with friends.
After lunch, we returned to the beach for a much-anticipated paddle in the sea. The children had a wonderful time dipping their toes in the water, building sandcastles, and playing together in the sand. To top off a brilliant day, everyone enjoyed a delicious ice cream – a perfect seaside treat!
Throughout the day, the children were enthusiastic, well-behaved, and full of curiosity. It was a joy to see them engaging with their surroundings and making special memories with their classmates.
A huge thank you to our wonderful family volunteers and staff who helped make the trip so smooth and enjoyable. And of course, thank you to you, our families, for preparing the children so well – from packed lunches to sunhats and everything in between!
We’re so proud of how brilliantly Reception represented our school. What a lovely day to remember!
